Hi! I’m Mel, Founder of Buddie — and a passionate believer in people-powered growth.

I’ve worked in HR for over 20 years, consulting on all things 'people' across a wide range of industries including FMCG, Oil & Gas, PR, and Tech. My expertise spans the full HR spectrum — from organisational design and change management to employee relations, leadership development, EDI, and wellbeing.

While my career began in large corporates, I launched Buddie to bring smart, fit-for-purpose people solutions to growing businesses — the kind that need strategic support, without the red tape.

Outside of work, I love travelling, food, yoga, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.

Senior HR, Project and Transformation Consultant
Hi, I’m Joanne.

I bring over 18 years of global multinational experience in HR and transformation, leading HR operations, people services, and organisation-wide initiatives in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Employee Wellbeing.
​
I’ve worked closely with boards, executive teams, and senior leaders across continents to lead change — from redesigning organisations and reshaping cultures to centralising services, outsourcing operations, and delivering future-focused HR strategies.

I bring calm to the chaos. Collaborative, grounded, and straight-talking, I’m especially here to help when the path ahead feels uncertain.
